Taye Babeker Tirfea won Oslo Marathon

Last updated: 21.09.2015 // Taye Babeker Tirfea from Ethiopia won the Oslo Marathon with the time 2:20:49, beating his record from last year. This was an impressive run and his second time of winning Oslo Marathon.

 

He stated it was his best run in 2015.  He also made a new course record when winning in 2014 with the time 2:21:36. As many Ethiopian runners he is exercising in the Entoto Mountains more than 3000 meters above sea level, in the outskirts of Addis Ababa.

Oslo Marathon is an annual street run with roughly 25,000 runner, making it one of Norway’s biggest street runs. It was arranged for the first time in 1981, making 2015 the 36th year.
