Today, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ethiopia announced a NOK 100 million (USD 17,421, 026 ) grant to support the joint UNICEF and UNFPA programme on ‘Rights-based Approach to Adolescent and Youth Development in Ethiopia (Phase II – 2014-2017)’. The fund is divided equally between UNICEF and UNFPA and released independently to each agency on a bi-annual basis. Read more

Norway’s new Government was appointed today by His Majesty the King. It is a conservative minority government formed by the Conservative Party and the Progress Party, with Conservative Party leader Erna Solberg as Prime Minister. Read more

Det var et sterkt oppmøte av afrikanske statsledere og profilerte eksperter da den nye sikkerhetskonferansen Tana High Level Forum, ledet av presidentene Mbeki og Obasanjo, gikk av stabelen 20.-21. april 2013. Fokuset var på kriminelle nettverk og trafficking i Sahel. Konferansen Tana High Level Forum ble avholdt i Bahir Dar, Etiopia. Read more
